Carving course

Want to get that great feeling under your feet? The feeling of gliding down the freshly groomed, steep and wide slopes that Voss has to offer? Join Alexander Raa Nilsen and Voss Resort Ski School on a carving course. We have courses for both women and men. We will give you useful tips, help you practise your technique and find a sense of mastery in a safe and friendly environment.
Level
These course is suitable for those who have some skiing experience but want to become more confident in carving and gain more control in the turns. All these courses are black level, which means that you must be a skilled skier who can master both red and black slopes and is comfortable skiing in terrain and on different surfaces.

- Carving course for men: Saturday 21 February and Saturday 28 February (10:00-12:30, 150 min)
- Carving course for women: Friday 20 February and Friday 27 February (10:00-12:30, 150 min)
- Carving course for adults: Sunday 22 February (10:00-12:30, 150 min)
Carving course for men
We invite you to an informal and inspiring carving course for men who want to take their skiing to the next level. Here you will have the opportunity to refine your technique, pick up useful tips from experienced instructors and experience the wonderful feeling of mastery on the slopes. Meet at Hangurstoppen at 10:00. Minimum age 17. Minimum 4 participants required for the course to run. We emphasise personal guidance, a good atmosphere and a social session where you learn at your own pace.
Carving course for women
This is a course for women who want to develop their skiing skills. We focus on flow, control and technique with support and tips from skilled instructors. Meet at Hangurstoppen at 10:00. Minimum age 17. Minimum 4 participants required to run the course. We ensure a good atmosphere, a relaxed pace and a learning process that starts from exactly where you are.
Carving course for adults
This course is for adults who want to develop their skills on the slopes, whether you want better flow in your turns or more control at speed. We work on technique, safety and the small adjustments that make a big difference. Meet at Hangurstoppen at 10:00. Age limit 17 years. Minimum 4 participants to run the course. We offer individual guidance and a social learning environment where you can develop at your own pace.
Weather and snow conditions may affect the course programme
Please note that the carving course is dependent on snow conditions. If conditions are not good enough, we will instead set up a freeriding course at the same level. Voss has some of the best terrain for freeriding, and on the course we will teach you good techniques for freeriding and how to find that raw feeling of mastery on the mountainside.
